Introducing Handwoven Sneakers | RES IPSA

Marrakech, Morocco — Introducing our one-of-a-kind Handwoven sneakers designed by hand by our shoemakers at our Marrakech atelier. Each pair of sneakers is made from upcycling colorful, sustainable deadstock cotton fabrics sourced in the Atlas region outside of Marrakech and in the old souks in the historic Medina in Marrakech.
Handwoven Sneaker
Moroccan handwoven fabric is traditionally woven to be used as blankets and other home goods, including for towels, pillows, furniture and rugs. Inspired by the looks of our other handwoven products including our Handwoven Bomber Jacket, Handwoven Kimono and Handwoven Workshirt, each pair of handwoven sneakers varies slightly in its weight and upper texture because each handwoven fabric is handmade from a unique cotton fabric. Our shoemakers will often design each pair so that even the left and the right shoes will be asymmetrical in their pattern, creating a distinguishably cool style.

Handwoven Bomber Jacket
Inspired by repurposing with handwoven cotton fabrics like our bomber jackets pictured above, we source these deadstock fabrics by hand around Marrakech. Each handwoven sneaker is made with a vintage handwoven fabric upper and finished with a flexible solid-white rubber sole. Because each fabric is unique and asymmetrical, no two pairs will ever be identical. This is a one-of-a-kind product with an international flair.

Each pair of sneakers is a one-of-a-kind. It is literally impossible to create two identical pairs of shoes, so the shoes you receive will be uniquely yours, never to be reproduced. Hand made at our Marrakech atelier. Shop the collection
